Top 5 – Bathroom Songs

Top 5 Songs with reference to………Bathrooms

So I’m asked to put together my top 5 songs on bathrooms. Why bathrooms? Because I’m the fool who said I could do a top 5 in my sleep as it’s so easy so they went ok, go.

Here goes…..

  1. She Came In Through The Bathroom Window – The Beatles

Either about Apple Scruffs, a fan, or Linda this McCartney song lives on Abbey Road. A slower version from 1969 was released on Anthology

  1. Everyone Nose – NERD

Ah, when Pharrell wasn’t such a clean cut fella. As producers (Neptune), and the band, NERD released this cocaine inspired track & even wanted strippers and a nose in the video. Thankfully this didn’t happen & nor did the track, failing in the US. It is however brilliant & look for Kanye & Lindsey Lohan in the vid. Ah, strange & wonderful days indeed.

  1. Mirror In The Bathroom – The Beat

UK Ska band The Beat dropped this track in I think !980 / ‘81. At the time The Specials were everywhere with their Jamaican influence & this joined it & maybe topped it for a while. And no it wasn’t about cocaine but being self absorbed.

  1. L.E.S. – Childish Gambino

So a little vague now but Childish Gambino’s first label album, Camp  hit hard in my home. With a video shot in the Lower East Side (L.E.S.) he was not in the video. A great track & for me his best work & a shit hot vid

  1. Feel My Heart Beat – LL Cool J

A bit of a reach but had to get LL in the mix. With Run DMC he was the first mainstream hip hop crossover. This track was a single of his last album  Exit 13 with Def Jam. Everybody should love Cool James.
